PwC’s Startup Growth Programme has collaborated with UP Ventures Group to launch the Future of Health. The 12 week programme, beginning March 2017, focusses on employee wellbeing, connected healthcare and long term care. Through a mix of sector-focussed coaching from PwC, their clients, UP and their network, the programme will enable 12 startups to grow their business and change the face of health.
PwC’s The Future of Health Programme
For the startups, it’s an opportunity to explore and drive commercial opportunities with large organisations (both public and private) and to learn from and build relationships with business leaders. For the leading brands engaged, it’s an opportunity to work with and support innovative businesses who are defining the markets they operate within, whilst aligning themselves with the startup ecosystem.
Participating companies receive privileged access to executive-level mentors, thought leaders, and health-tech specialists. As well as introductions, the programme provides masterclasses with topics such as the regulatory landscape of NHS data and cybersecurity issues, the procurement processes in both the NHS and corporate organisations and challenges in the VC and corporate venture markets. Combined with business support from PwC and a suite of private events, hosted in both Manchester and London, where startups pitch their business to carefully curated investors and industry influencers within healthcare, the curriculum creates sales channels for startups.
The programme will be hosted in Manchester at The Landing, MediaCityUK’s digital and technology enterprise hub which is already home to over 100 tech startups and scale-ups.
With applications now open, The Future of Health invites fast-growth startups who are funded, revenue generating and focussed on scaling within the health industry to apply by the closing date of February 17th. If your application is successful, you will be invited to submit further documents, followed by an interview, and a meeting with PwC and UP. The programme will charge a fixed fee and PwC and UP do not take any equity.
