Nuffield Healthscore has been shortlisted in the ‘Keep Me Healthy’ category at the first ever AXA PPP Health Tech & You Awards.
The awards, a joint initiative between AXA PPP healthcare, 2020health and the Design Museum, aim to recognise, celebrate and showcase the best in personal health technology innovations – making it more accessible for the benefit of consumers.
Finalist Nuffield Healthscore is a unique and personalised Fitness and Wellbeing app that guides users to make informed and proven lifestyle choices to live a longer, healthier and more active life. Learning about current health status and monitoring daily habits that affect wellbeing, the app generates a single, simple and personal health ‘score’ between 1 and 1000.
Each individual’s score reacts in real-time to reflect activity levels, eating habits, stress and sleep quality as well as any changes in underlying health. As it rises or falls, it helps and guides users to make the most effective small changes to their habits for lasting good health. Healthscore is available on phone, tablet or computer.
Along with Nuffield HealthScore, the shortlist celebrates a unique mix of innovative entries from individuals, designers, developers, entrepreneurs and healthcare professionals from the UK and around the world.
In a novel move, all 24 finalists will be showcased in a public exhibition at the Design Museum in London from 10th March – 26th April 2015. The showcase brings together the best submissions and presents them in an engaging and accessible way to give visitors an insight into this rapidly evolving and increasingly important field.
Divided into six award categories, representatives from the Health Tech & You partners evaluated every entry to select the shortlist of four per category. An overall winner will be announced during an awards ceremony on 18th March, 2015.
Rebecca McCheyne, Nuffield Health Group Digital Services Director, comments:
“To be shortlisted at the first AXA PPP Health Tech & You Awards is something which we are extremely excited about. We see HealthScore as the intelligence layer that sits above tracking devices and apps, analysing the data that users collect and interpreting it into meaningful information to coach the user towards improved health and wellbeing. We have already seen how HealthScore motivates our members to keep healthy and believe that HealthScore can benefit people in the community to help them achieve their health goals.”
James Freeston, Marketing Director, AXA PPP healthcare, states:
“We are delighted with the response to the AXA PPP Health Tech & You Awards. The sheer volume and quality of entries really is a true testament to the innovative projects currently being developed and launched by so many individuals and companies in the health tech space.”
The finalists’ exhibition runs from 10th March – 26th April, 2015 at the Design Museum, Shad Thames, near Tower Bridge, London. The museum is open daily to the public between 10am and 5.45pm.
