LiveSmart raise £700,000 to scale up their B2B sales strategy

LiveSmart, a London based health tech start-up that combines health assessments which involves a convenient blood screening service and personalised health coaching to proactively improve personal health, has raised a substantial development capital funding round. The investment will support their B2B sales strategy in advance of a potentially larger series A investment round towards the end of 2017. Investors include Matt Merrick (formerly the Managing Director of Virgin Active Health Clubs) and Lawrence Mitchell (formerly Global Marketing Director and Global Wellness Lead at Reed Business Information). Lawrence and Matt complement the highly experienced management team, led by Alex Heaton, and are well placed to advise the business as it grows.

“Clients are buying our products because we have a market leading proposition that engages users and delivers lasting health outcomes” Alex Heaton – Founder

This success builds on a series of significant multi-year corporate sales – the largest of which is worth over £400,000 – as companies see the value in investing in the wellbeing and resilience of their employees. In addition to direct sales the business has agreed a series of partnerships with leading intermediaries including Mercer Marsh Benefits, a global consulting leader in employee health and wellbeing. There is also a new partnership in place with a major employee benefits portal provider. LiveSmart will continue to build upon this success with the announcement of two further partnership agreements in the coming months. The first is with a top 3 health insurer with global reach and the second is with a UK based leading cash plan provider.

LiveSmart empowers employees to regularly monitor their internal health, allowing them to understand inherent risks and the impact of exercise levels, nutrition and lifestyle choices over time; identifying potential issues before they become problems. Coaching is used in-between health assessments to support employees to make incremental changes leading to long-term health outcomes.

“LiveSmart has made the process of collecting and presenting unstructured health data in a meaningful way a breeze. For our organisations on-boarding is easy and the support from the LiveSmart team is world class. The power of presenting group data and trends is genuinely insightful. Resources for our wellness interventions get directed exactly where they are needed. It’s how health and wellness should be. Evidenced based interventions driven from real measures of health. We love it.” Carlyle Jenkins, Founder Prohab Performance
