A brand new digital fund that is meant to develop a variety of truly innovative healthcare technology solutions is soon to be released in the Yorkshire region. Once launched, digital healthcare companies in the region will be able to gain access to much needed funding.
A Fund by Creative England
The £250,000 fund is set to be launched by Creative England. It follows in the footsteps of other similar funds that have already been launched for the West Midlands and North West.
Investments of as much as £50,000 will be offered to businesses that are based in the Yorkshire area. These will create a portion of the popular £1 million Interactive Healthcare Fund by Creative England.
The aim of these funds will be to encourage and support more digital businesses located outside of London so that they can continue working hard to craft the most innovative healthcare tech solutions and products.
Partnerships to Assist the Success of the Healthcare Fund
In addition to the Regional Growth Fund of Creative England, partnerships are in place with the Yorkshire and Humber Academic Health Science Network, the West Midlands Academic Health Science Network, and the Heart of England NHS Foundation Trust.
As a result of these collaborations, there will be funds available to support companies that wish to develop mobile, tablet, and web applications for the healthcare industry.
Considered an important initiative, and an innovative project, developers will now have the opportunity to really make a difference in sectors that lie outside of creative fields. In other words, digital products can be designed that will not only work great, but will also be focused upon tackling some of the biggest challenges in healthcare today.
Overall, there is a lot of excitement for this initiative, which supports companies in their pursuit to improve patients’ lives.
